This is the index for the factions present in Wasteland Stories. This is my own interpretation of the Fallout world with a far more nuanced approach and much more grey morality.

Faction Descriptions [A-Z];

Brotherhood of Steel: A tecnocrat semi-secret, recluse society. The small chapters of the Brotherhood scattered across the american wasteland have only one common goal; Keeping themselves, and humanity by extension, protected from the consequences of moral misuse of technology. The BoS collects and produces hi-tech weaponary, such as; robots, remote-controlled power armor and even some prototype flying drones. They abide to a strict moral code of conduct of using technology; the CODEX; created and enforced by their inner central comitee; the "circle of steel". Very few wasteland people aside from teenagers in soldier age are accepted into the BoS, and even among them, few pass their training. The chapters operate mostly independent, only contacting the circle of steel in case of severe misconduct of their members.

People's Liberation Army: They are the remnants of the PLA 17th Paratrooper regiment, infiltrator units and civilian communist agitators that stormed america prior to and the same day that the bombs fell. They stood together as comrades and saw the end of the world. The ones that didn't die, turned into Ghouls. A new condition that would change their minds forever. Their main submarine fleet lost contact with ground and air forces a long time ago somewhere deep inside american waters, and the remnants still try to contact the Sichuan Fleet automated comm system to, at least use their remaining subs to go back home. Lately, some of the agitators remnants have already taken root and formed a splinter faction that is vying to stay, and restart their previous project; the building of the "People's Republic of America", but the nationalist military officers just want to go back to their homeland.

The FEV Hordes: Unforgiving, savage and ruthless. This is the description most wastelanders would give about a Super Mutant, but their society is far more complex than what one might think. These abominations are result of government FEV's experiments in Vault 87, prior to and even after the war. The byproduct of a forced evolution, they struggle trying to find a place in the the post-apocalyptic world. Acting under barbaric warlords, the super mutant hordes, or FEV hordes, like they call themselves wreak havoc throughout the wasteland, searching for more and more humans to turn into their kind. Even though they seem to be loyal to many different hordes, infighting seems like a rare occourance.

The Order of Christ: Christianism was a very prevalent religion in the old world, and continues Its presence in the wasteland as one of the many ideologies people organize themselves into. From the mormons of New Canaan to the Catholics of Portland, Christianism itself hasnt changed much, and Its core values of charity and worship reached many people around the wastes. Founded by Levi Oliver, an old world catholic priest from Oregon whom survived the great war as a ghoul, the Order of Christ aims to rebuild the world into an utopian society, based on the teachings of Jesus Christ, their lord and saviour, and Mary, the holy mother of God. As Neo-Catholics, the Order follows a strict hierarchical and patriarchal rule, but the wasteland and Its horrors may change this faction wildly. Based on the old RobCo tower in downtown Portland, the Order of Christ uses medieval symbolism, modern military gear, alongside the known practice of charity and proselitism to spread the word of their god.

The Pitt Slavers: Ruled with an iron fist by their supreme leader Ashur, the Pitt Slavers are the most organized and ideological of the raider factions of the capital wasteland. Far from the DC area, they are the main buyer and actionist in the slave trade market, due to their trogg problem, replacing their "workers" is a constant need. They produce mostly steel and bullets, presumably sold in large chunks to the Enclave war effort. Their leader envision finding a cure to the trogg disease and building a society much stronger and fearless, where only the strongest survive. Effectively being a dictatorship, the only opposition group are the slaves insurectionary group led by Wernher, who seek to free the slaves and put the town under worker's control.
