Philip Fry's Diary (12)

Time for a change of pace. Me and Esther decided to stay here and help Wrench for a while. The journey north to the old RobCo Tower isn't easy, and our mercenary 'friend' promised we could earn a good amount of caps to buy ourselves a ride there with one of the scav or merc companies. Meanwhile, we got into a truck convoy to Junkflea... I was also surprised to hear there are so many working cars in this place, but It seems Oregon survivors found an alternative way to fuel and fix the machines. Arrived at Junkflea by the evening. Visited some hydroponic farms, the clinic and the Bounty's Office, wrench had some bounty to collect there. These guys are doing pretty well for themselves, they seem to have quite a good selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, working cars, tons of junk to trade... After hearing an old war tale about two nurses and visiting a robot "medic" to check up on our health, We proceeded to the real Junkflea...

"A motor trip to Junkflea..."

"A well-stocked hydroponics grocery store..."

"Old world ghoul nurse is a heavy smoker..."

"Time to get to know the real Junkflea..." How can prospecting wealth be so close to abject poverty and hardship?! There are young women offering their bodies for cheaper than booze, people that lost all their dignity and live like animals in squalor, alongside sewer rats and all kinds of critters. Chem dealers are the only ones that make a 'decent' living down the "Slums" of Junkflea. Cannibals, thiefs, beggars, everything that I've tried to run away from... I'm glad we're moving away from here soon...

"Scavenger quarters..."

"Live animals all over the place..."

"Wealth and despair live side by side in Junkflea..."

"Chem dealers literally run the place..."
